SNACK FOOD ASSOCIATION MEETS W/ USPB AT NPC MEETING

The Snack Food Association potato technology committee met with the U.S. Potato Board chip committee at the summer national potato council meeting in Bar Harbor, Maine.

The joint committees reviewed current chipping potato variety research and recent chip trends, and SFA member Jason Walther from Walther Farms assumed the chairmanship of the USPB chip committee from SFA member Dick Pavelski of Heartland Farms. The next joint meeting of SFA committee and the USPB chip committee will be in January at the 2013 Potato Expo.
