Valley Irrigation will host two field days this year, scheduled in conjunction with two popular trade shows.

Valley field days are designed to provide information about crop management, center pivot irrigation equipment and water efficiency to international growers visiting the United States. Local growers are also welcome to attend.

The first field day will be Aug. 26 in Valley, Neb., in conjunction with the Aug. 26-28 Farm Progress Show in Boone, Iowa. This event will include a Valley Irrigation factory tour.

The second will be Sept. 11 on a farm near Fargo, N.D., in conjunction with the Sept. 9-11 Big Iron Farm Show in Fargo.

Participants will hear from local growers and see the latest in irrigation equipment, soil moisture monitoring, crop management and variable rate irrigation (VRI) technology. Valley Authorized Providers Nelson Irrigation and Senninger Irrigation will share the latest technologies in water application.

Each field day will run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will include lunch, demonstrations and door prizes. Anyone interested in irrigation is invited to attend. Space is limited, so registration is required. Registration will close two weeks prior to each field day. For more information or to register, click here
