Potatoes USA global marketing manager Rachael Lynch, chef Garrett Berdan and the School Nutrition Association (SNA) hosted a webinar on April 5 to educate school foodservice professionals on the potato industry and various applications of potatoes in schools.
Over 200 school chefs, foodservice directors, child nutrition managers production staff and others learned how potatoes are grown and harvested (both on an industrial scale and in a school operation); tips for purchasing, preparing and menuing potatoes; and fun recipe concepts to take back to their kitchens.
In a post-webinar evaluation, 100 percent of respondents agreed the speakers were knowledgeable and engaging, and that the webinar met their expectations.
SNA members who completed the post-webinar quiz and evaluation earned one hour of continuing education credit. The webinar is now available for members OnDemand through the SNA website for one year.
