Canadian Potato Storage Holdings Down

Total Canadian potato storage holdings on Feb. 1, 2021, were 9.8 percent below the three-year average, down 5.9 million hundredweight. New Brunswick leads the decline at 48 percent less than it three year average. Manitoba has storage holdings 18.4 percent above historical averages but has been importing potatoes until just recently.

Ontario and British Columbia have stocks on Feb. 1, 11 and 12 percent, respectively, above three-year averages.
