New Dawn Crop Performance, a unique direct-to-farm agribusiness, was announced today. The new line of crop production solutions is designed to serve North and South Dakota farmers with the quality crop inputs needed to boost yields and improve return on investment (ROI). The new farmer-owned company will be led by ag industry veteran and South Dakota native Rob Fox.

“We’ve set up New Dawn to be the lean provider of high-quality crop inputs to help progressive producers reduce costs and increase yields,” said Fox, New Dawn’s chief operating officer, in announcing the company. “It’s our intent to cut waste from the traditional distribution channel so growers can keep more of the farm income they work so hard to generate.”

New Dawn Crop Performance will offer a full line of crop protection chemistry, fertilizer, and their own brand of crop input additives focused on the agronomic needs of the Upper Midwest. New Dawn’s specialty products include FIRSTLIGHT Seed Treatments for corn, soybeans and wheat, FIRSTRIZE specialty starters, FIRSTSTAND plant growth regulator and OUTSHINE nutritionals. PROPELL surfactants, drift control and water conditioners round out the new line-up.

“We really have three core objectives,” explains Fox, who held leadership positions with Pioneer Hi-Bred International and several leading agribusiness enterprises over the last 30-plus years. “We want to help growers increase profits, take care of their families and keep their ground productive for years to come. By removing the outdated and redundant distribution steps in the crop input supply chain we can bring high-quality products to market for 30 percent less cost in most cases. Driving this kind of real productivity gain for the benefit of the US Farmer is incredibly inspiring to me and the farm families I have the opportunity to serve.”
