Vive Crop Protection recently placed No. 80 on the 2020 Report on Business ranking of Canada’s Top Growing Companies.
Canada’s Top Growing Companies ranks Canadian companies on three-year revenue growth. Vive Crop Protection earned its spot with three-year growth of 740%.
Vive Crop Protection has launched four new products in the past three years, including the agricultural industry’s first biological and chemical fungicide, enabled by Vive’s patented Allosperse® nano-polymer technology.
Darren Anderson, CEO at Vive Crop Protection says, “The agricultural industry is one that adopts technology at a rapid pace. Most folks don’t truly understand the issues, the science, and the technological realities associated with modern food production. And they don’t understand how much advanced tech is involved: they think self-driving Ubers represent the future, but autonomous farm tractors have been in use for 20 years.”
At Vive, Anderson continues, “We are committed to developing products and technologies that increase grower ROI, efficiency and sustainability. Our combined decades of experience in agriculture, business, science and technology are successful at reducing environmental impact while increasing crop quality and yields. In fact, research shows that 97% of customers re-use Vive products year after year and that our products are estimated to have saved U.S. farmers 34 million gallons of water, 189,000 gallons of fuel and 15,000 hours of farm labor since 2018.”
“We are thrilled to be recognized as one of ROB Canada’s Top Growing Companies because it celebrates the success we’ve had in making a difference in the agricultural supply chain.”
Launched in 2019, the Canada’s Top Growing Companies editorial ranking aims to celebrate entrepreneurial achievement in Canada by identifying and amplifying the success of growth-minded, independent businesses in Canada. It is a voluntary program; companies had to complete an in-depth application process in order to qualify. In total, 448 companies earned a spot on this year’s ranking.
The full list of 2021 winners, and accompanying editorial coverage, is published in the October issue of Report on Business magazine—out now—and online.
“As we look toward the future, Canada’s Top Growing Companies offer both inspiration and practical insights for other firms facing similar challenges,” says James Cowan, Editor of Report on Business magazine. “The entrepreneurs behind these companies are smart, tenacious and unwavering in their commitment to their goals.”
“Any business leader seeking inspiration should look no further than the 448 businesses on this year’s Report on Business ranking of Canada’s Top Growing Companies,” says Phillip Crawley, Publisher and CEO of The Globe and Mail. “Their growth helps to make Canada a better place, and we are proud to bring their stories to our readers.”
