2023 Snake River Weed Management Tour Scheduled For June 28

The annual Snake River Weed Management Tour, sponsored by the University of Idaho, is scheduled for Wednesday, June 28 at the UI Kimberly Research and Extension Center, in southcentral Idaho.

Highlights of the tour include:

  • Weed control in alfalfa, corn, dry beans, sugarbeets and wheat
  • Activation moisture requirement of soil-applied herbicides
  • Herbicide carryover and herbicide injury symptom demonstration
  • Know your pigweeds.   

In addition, there will be updates on:   

  • Interseeding cover crop into silage corn
  • Cover crop species demonstration
  • Biostimulants
  • Potato production and storage management
  • Insect studies in potato and sugarbeet
  • Organic production

Registration for the half-day event is from 8-9 a.m. with the tour running from 9 a.m. to noon. The tour will be followed by a sponsored lunch.

You do not need to pre-register or RSVP and three Idaho pesticide recertification credits will be available after the tour.
