Last week, the Idaho Grower Shippers Association notified recipients of the IGSA 2024 Scholarship Program. The IGSA will be awarding $18,000 in scholarships to individuals who are employed in or who have a family member employed in the Idaho potato industry.
Since its inception eight years ago, the IGSA scholarship program has awarded more than $125,000 to deserving students with ties to the Idaho potato industry.
This year’s selection process, overseen by the IGSA associate board members and the executive director, involved assessing more than 60 applicants. Recipients were chosen based on, among other things, their connection to the Idaho potato industry, academic excellence, leadership qualities, and community involvement.
