Tampa, Florida — BRANDT announced a series of structural changes to its Specialty Formulations sales group and the creation of a new global supply chain function. Though all changes are effective October 1, the company expects transitions will take place over the course of the 2024 calendar year.

Matthew Ingram has been named Vice President, Sales and will transition into a leadership role of a corporate sales function. Ingram will lead sales, customer support and the overall customer experience for BRANDT Specialty Formulations. He will work with Bill Engel, BRANDT Executive Vice President, as Engel transitions out of his day-to-day role of leading Specialty Formulations. Together, Engel and Ingram will ensure that all relationships are transitioned and a clear sales strategy is developed for BRANDT’s specialty products.

“I can’t begin to describe how Bill Engel has helped to grow our company, making us the global player we are today. He has been invaluable, and I am grateful that he will help us transition to a new young sales leader in Matt,” said Rick Brandt, President & CEO of BRANDT. “Matt is bringing new energy and new ideas to our Specialty Formulations business. We have one of the best specialty plant nutrition portfolios in the world. But Matt is already thinking about how we integrate those products into solutions with our planter box technologies and additional products. It’s exciting. I’m eager to see how he’s able to focus and grow the business.”

In addition, John Guglielmi, currently national sales director for Specialty Formulations, will move over to Dowdy Crop Innovations to take on leadership of the Total Acre program. As Vice President, Total Acre, Guglielmi’s mission will be to grow the Total Acre program and provide strategic leadership. He will help the company build out its camp-based consulting model, product testing and farmer-first advocacy.

BRANDT is also creating a global supply chain function under the leadership of Brent Wallner. Wallner, currently VP, Dealer Support, has been named to the new role of Vice President, Supply Chain with responsibility for coordination of BRANDT Dealer Support; Specialty Formulations purchasing, logistics and production; and Talc USA production. The goal of the Supply Chain function is to provide more coordinated management of these critical areas, delivering scale efficiencies and increased quality.

“We are all thrilled for the new Supply Chain function; this is something we’ve been planning towards for a long time,” explained Brandt. “Getting Brent in place is just the first step. Over the next few months, Brent will build out his team, and we’ll be able to announce the leaders of Dealer Support, Talc USA production, Specialty Formulations production, and US and international procurement.”
