Michigan Potato Industry Commission Welcomes Back Denise Amburgey As Business Manager

Denise Amburgey decided she wasn't ready to be retired just yet.

Amburgey, who served as business manager of the Michigan Potato Industry Commission (MPIC) in 2020 and 2021, has rejoined the team in the same role. Her primary responsibilities will be to oversee financials and the sponsorship program.

Amburgey has an accomplished history in finance and accounting, including stints at the American Red Cross, Michigan Society of Association Executives, Core-Mark International, and the Ingham County Health Dept. While at Core-Mark International, Amburgey was named the company's Controller of the Year. She also volunteers at the crisis line call center of EVE, Inc.

Amburgey, who grew up on a farm near Onekama, lives in Lansing with her husband, Larry, and dog, Bella. She has an adult daughter, Samantha.
