Potato Grower Scramble Winner Chosen by Tiebreaker

Twenty-four teams competed in the 23rd annual Potato Grower Industry Golf Tournament at Idaho Falls Country Club on July 15.

First place went to the team comprised of Russ Mallory, Sheldon Mallory, Matt Mallory and Jerry Keinlen at 10-under-par 62. The Mallorys represented Simplot Grower Solutions, while Keinlen is affiliated with Hoff Farms. Their team tied the second-place team of Mel and Rob Erickson, Bruce Keck and Daniel Peck but won by tiebreaker.

Kirk Watt, Darren Watt, Tyler Watt and Lane Lankford finished two shots back for third place.

More than $7,000 in awards, including individual hole prizes, were presented to participants at a luncheon following the scramble played under near-perfect conditions.

First-place team members won $200 apiece, with second place earning $150 apiece and third place $125 apiece. Places were paid to seventh place.
