The Washington/Oregon Potato Conference will be held Jan. 26-28 at the Three Rivers Convention Center in Kennewick, Wash. In all, more than 2,000 growers, suppliers, researchers and other interested parties are expected to attend the conference.

“The Washington/Oregon Potato Conference continues to be the premier event for the potato industry in the Northwest,” said Ryan Holterhoff, director of marketing and industry affairs for the Washington State Potato Commission. “Participants enjoy the numerous connections they are able to make with those throughout the industry [as well as] the knowledge and information that is shared through the general session and other training opportunities during the conference.

“Last year, the conference had 133 different exhibitor booths, and this year we have been able to see that number grow to 172,” Holterhoff continued. “This will be the most exhibitors that have ever been able to participate in the conference. This highlights the great interest there is to be part of the conference.”

An early-bird reception is planned for the evening of Jan. 25. The list of general sessions is lengthy, giving attendees an opportunity to glean detailed information on a host of topics during the convention. A complete list of these sessions can be found by clicking here.

The keynote address, “What Food Trends Say About Our Society,” will be delivered by award-winning journalist David Sax on Jan. 27. The Leadership Recognition Banquet will take place later in the evening.

The 2016 Ladies Luncheon and Tour is scheduled for Jan. 27. The trade show floor will be active throughout the conference. For more information about the conference or to register, click here
